Regional Manager - South

When, why and from where did you join Bright Futures Resourcing?

I was part of the first Bright Futures Society in Wales, based in Swansea, and ended up winning the UK Society of the Year award in 2008/9! This fuelled my passions for the society even more, of which I hinted my “availability” to members of the team...and as a result somehow managed to blag my way in!

Bright Futures Resourcing couldn’t live without me because...

I manage all the Southern societies, giving them support, advice and guidance as well as finding out what they are getting up to and how best to action their yearly objectives. I am also a key player in organising the National Events along with managing and updating the content on the website. I also plan to be a key social motivator within the team, encouraging community support by putting revenue back into our local bars!

Three interesting things we might not know about you...

1. I cox for rowing clubs – in brief…I’m the tiny person that sits in the boat, steering and shouting at them to row harder!
2. I used to play the Northumbrian bag pipes.
3. I am fascinated by spiders and even studied them for my dissertation!

If you were stranded on a desert island what 5 items would you take with you...

1. Some mayonnaise – so that anything I am forced to eat will taste good
2. A towel – because there’s nothing worse that coming out of the sea and getting sand stuck everywhere [also doubles as a blanket/hat/dress/top/fire wafter/bull avoider]
3. My iPhone – to listen to music, play bubblewrap, oh and possibly call for help…after I’ve got a tan… [yes…battery life will be an issue so let’s hope they’ve developed a solar power app. by then]
4. A knife – in case I need to protect myself from any polar bears
5. A dog – as a loyal companion and hunting tool

Describe yourself in the style of a drink...

Cointreau & Lemonade – refreshing, a bit fizzy, will make you feel merry, with a good bit of zest!

If someone gave me £100,000 I would spend it on...

I would have to pay back the money I owe the parents and the bank, oh and of course the student loan, find a nicer flat to rent, sell the mini-Micra and buy a better car (more thought required RE: model), put some money aside for my niece and schooling, I’d beg Simon to give me a long holiday to travel across Europe. And I may possibly spend a little on clothes….maybe… alright I will definitely spend some on clothes!
