Step 7 – Retaining

So often the obsession for graduate programmes – ‘are we retaining our graduates?’
This is, we believe, just one measure of the success of your graduate programme to be used.

The truth is effective retention starts with ‘honest’ recruitment messages right from the outset; and includes other issues such as:

  • how your new graduates initial expectations are met once they join the business
  • the quality of their line managers (as we all know people join companies and leave managers) the opportunities for advancement
  • constant challenge and stretch for your graduates
  • Plus Gen Y issues such as work life integration; a sense of value in what they do; your Corporate Social Responsibility agenda…the list goes on

The Bright Futures Resourcing team can work with you to address & understand these issues so that you retain the graduates you want to.

Importantly we will also work with you to identify other ‘success measures’ to demonstrate the value of a graduate programme to your organisation as a whole.
